A lot of the time an apology seems necessary when we make a mistake in a performance: we frown, our posture crumbles, and we utter, “I’m sorry. I messed up. That wasn’t my best”.
Don’t be sorry for your generosity of sharing your music with the world. Don’t be sorry for your courage to stand up and play amidst the fear. Don’t be sorry for making mistakes.
We aren’t robots, we’re humans playing music. Don’t be sorry about being human. Be proud of it.
